I put Middle Earth Journal in hiatus in May of 2008 and moved to Newshoggers.
I temporarily reopened Middle Earth Journal when Newshoggers shut it's doors but I was invited to Participate at The Moderate Voice so Middle Earth Journal is once again in hiatus.

Sorry

Sorry for the lack of content.  I have been posting some syndicated content but I realize that's not what you are looking for in a blog.  The reality is being the caregiver for someone in home hospice is the hardest job I have ever had.  Each day it seems there is something new as different things shut down.  At this point the goal is to keep mother comfortable   That means increasing doses of morphine.  If I survive this perhaps I will have something to say in the future.

    Your priorities are in perfect order. No reason to apologize. This blog is here for your moments to escape heavier responsibilities, to get your mind on something else for a while. You have been given a great responsibility but with that comes an opportunity to experience compassion for others in similar circumstances.

    Whether or not you know it, you are already a valuable resource person for anyone just approaching the edge of where you have been for some time. You are now a card-carrying expert on end-of-life caregiving.
