The missed opportunities will result in NO opportunities to stop the Bush administration's march towards tyranny. The current Senate investigation into illegal NSA spying will result in nothing more that some faux indignation from the Republican lawmakers and some hapless indignation from the Democratic lawmakers. After 5 years of not standing up to the administration the lawmakers have no weapons in their arsenal to stop this march to a dictatorship.
