Here in the west we have trouble seeing what motivates the Islamic suicide bombers. Perhaps we shouldn't - we see the same phenomenon occurring right here in the US. Yes, it's the Republican politicians following a very unpopular president over a the cliff known as November 2008. Not as dramatic perhaps but very similar. The republican party has become a tribe or perhaps cult would be a better word. They continue to take there orders from their failed cult leader in spite of the fact that he has been wrong about everything and has failed both the country and their party. They will fight anything that might have the appearance of a victory for the Democrats in spite of the fact that their actions will eventually give the Democrats the biggest victory of all, the White House and solid majorities in the House and Senate.
