The Christian Church has many "beams" in it's eye. For one example I will once again quote Mark Gisleson at Norwegianity
- Don't judge, so that you won't be judged.
- For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
- Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye?
- Or how will you tell your brother,'Let me remove the speck from your eye;' and behold, the beam is in your own eye?
- You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.
Nine million people died because of evil and corrupt Popes. Bear in mind that at most there were only 350 million people in the world at that time. The Crusades killed two percent of all the people in the world. By comparison, you have to credit Hitler with ALL WWII fatalities (Europe AND Asia), to match that horrific toll. Let me repeat that: percentage-wise, the Crusades killed as many people as WWII did.So Islam is inherently violent.
Are there Islamic Radicals that are a threat? Yes there are, few would argue that. But what about the Christian Radicals. Here in the United States they are a more subtle but at least equally as dangerous because they have the ear of the Messiah in Chief, George W. Bush. In August Max Blumenthal told us about the Christians United for Israel and it's leader John Hagee who is just as nuts and just as dangerous as any crazy Mullah.
Over the past months, the White House has convened a series of off-the-record meetings about its policies in the Middle East with leaders of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), a newly formed political organization that tells its members that supporting Israel's expansionist policies is "a biblical imperative." CUFI's Washington lobbyist, David Brog, told me that during the meetings, CUFI representatives pressed White House officials to adopt a more confrontational posture toward Iran, refuse aid to the Palestinians and give Israel a free hand as it ramped up its military conflict with Hezbollah. That's right, this nut case is making life and death foreign policy.
CUFI's advice to the Bush Administration reflects the Armageddon-based foreign-policy views of its founder, John Hagee. Hagee is a fire-and-brimstone preacher from San Antonio who commands the nearly 18,000-member Cornerstone Church and hosts a major TV ministry where he explains to millions of viewers how the end times will unfold. He is also the author of numerous bestselling pulp-prophecy books, like his recent Jerusalem Countdown, in which he cites various unnamed Israeli intelligence sources to claim that Iran is producing nuclear "suitcase bombs." The only way to defeat the Iranian evildoers, he says, is a full-scale military assault.I report, now you decide, who is the most dangerous?
"The coming nuclear showdown with Iran is a certainty," Hagee wrote this year in the Pentecostal magazine Charisma. "Israel and America must confront Iran's nuclear ability and willingness to destroy Israel with nuclear weapons. For Israel to wait is to risk committing national suicide."
