The Politics and Politicians at the UN

Here in the US of A we are used to our politicians passing legislation that accomplishes little except making it appear they are actually doing something about a problem; most of the Homeland Security legislation comes to mind. Well at the UN this pattern can also be seen in the UN Security Council Resolution on Hezbollah Situation. This resolution is dead on arrival. There is no possibility that it will be accepted by Lebanon/Hezbollah since it for the most part lets Israel continue to occupy Lebanon and continue to "defend itself". That the clueless Condi and the Bush administration would approve this is no surprise but that the French would put their name on it is.
