Senate Colleagues to Help Lieberman
WASHINGTON -- Embattled Democratic Sen. Joe Lieberman is getting a little help from his Senate friends as he tries to fend off an anti-Iraq war challenger in an intraparty fight. Now Biden is no surprise and I don't know much about Salazar but Barbara Boxer? "Their goal is to reassure the party faithful of the three-term senator's loyalty to Democratic causes, including women's issues, labor and the environment". Now listen Barbara, none of that other shit really matters if the insane misguided neocon adventures are allowed to continue. And there is more than the war. For starters Joe has demonstrated that he has no respect for the Democratic voters in Connecticut. And don't forget the Bankruptcy bill. No Barbara you should be sitting this one out.
Sens. Joe Biden of Delaware, Barbara Boxer of California and Ken Salazar of Colorado plan to campaign in Connecticut for Lieberman between now and the Aug. 8 primary. Their goal is to reassure the party faithful of the three-term senator's loyalty to Democratic causes, including women's issues, labor and the environment.
