Yes that could be a campaign slogan for the November midterms. George W. Bush said it himself, the terrorist attack us because they hate our freedoms. While that's dead wrong the terrorists have some company in the person of George W. Bush and his freedom hating administration.
NSA has massive database of Americans' phone calls

The National Security Agency has been secretly collecting the phone call records of tens of millions of Americans, using data provided by AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth, people with direct knowledge of the arrangement told USA TODAY.
The NSA program reaches into homes and businesses across the nation by amassing information about the calls of ordinary Americans — most of whom aren't suspected of any crime. This program does not involve the NSA listening to or recording conversations. But the spy agency is using the data to analyze calling patterns in an effort to detect terrorist activity, sources said in separate interviews.

This is just the latest example of why it is essential that Democrats take control of both the House and the Senate so this country will have some congressional oversight over this tyrannical banana republic
administration. Of course the wingnuts are screaming about leaks rather than a blatant disregard for the constitution that it is. The first thing the Democratic President should do when he takes office in 2009 is award the medal of freedom to all the leakers.
