I've fallen and I can't get up

I guess it's becoming old news, George W. Bush's approval ratings are at yet a new low. His support among Democrats was brief, he lost the moderates some time ago and now he has lost the conservatives.

Just 33 percent of the public approves of Bush's job performance, the lowest of his presidency. That compares with 36 percent approval in early April. Forty-five percent of self-described conservatives now disapprove of the president.

While the conservatives may not vote for Democrats they may do something just a bad for the Republicans, not vote. This comes at a time when the Democrats are fired up and ready for blood.

Hardline conservatives are not likely to vote Democratic in the fall, but it would be just as devastating to the Republicans if conservatives lose their enthusiasm and stay home on Election Day.

I don't really see what Bush can do to turn it around. The Bush administration has lost it's most important asset, credibility. The spin doesn't work if the voters don't believe what you say.
