I put Middle Earth Journal in hiatus in May of 2008 and moved to Newshoggers.
I temporarily reopened Middle Earth Journal when Newshoggers shut it's doors but I was invited to Participate at The Moderate Voice so Middle Earth Journal is once again in hiatus.

Support the GOP!

That's right! Republican pollster Jan van Lohuizen has issued a memo to RNC head Ken Mehlman telling him that everyone in the GOP is now a "Brand W" Republican "whether they like it or not" and they should NOT distance themselves from George Bush as the midterm elections approach.
Republican pollster Jan van Lohuizen, in a memo written for RNC chairman Ken Mehlman, warns that if members of Congress try to drive a wedge between themselves and Pres. Bush, it'd be akin to adding weight to an anchor. GOpers are "W Brand Republicans" whether they like it or not. And van Louhizen, who has polled (often secretly) for the Bush White House under the RNC aegis for years, is worried about low turnout.

The President is seen universally as the face of the Republican Party. We are now brand W. Republicans. The following chart shows the extremely close correlation between the President's image and overall ratings of the party.

President Bush drives our image and will do so until we have real national front-runners for the '08 nomination. Attacking the President is counter productive for all Republicans, not just the candidates launching the attacks. If he drops, we all drop.
Jan sounds like a solid thinker to me. Let's all give him our support and encourage all Republicans in elected office to tie themselves as closely as possible to George W. Bush this year. Hell, for that matter let's enourage them to all handcuff themselves together.
