Filibuster....too little too late!

I have made no secret of my complete disgust with the DC Democrats most recently their pathetic performance at the Alito hearings. The last minute attempt to filibuster by Kerry and Kennedy was nothing by badly choreographed political pandering and was indeed to little too late. Although I'm not a big fan I think Sen. Barack Obama comes close to getting in right.

To more effectively oppose Supreme Court nominees in the future, Democrats need to convince the public "their values are at stake" rather than use stalling tactics to try to thwart the president, said a senator who opposes Samuel Alito's confirmation.

The Democrats came into the Alito hearings unprepared and their performance, and a performance is all it was, was incompetently lame but characteristic of the DC Democratic establishment. In describing Hillary Clinton Molly Ivins was really describing the entire DLC Democratic organization.

Enough. Enough triangulation, calculation and equivocation. Enough clever straddling, enough not offending anyone This is not a Dick Morris election. Sen. Clinton is apparently incapable of taking a clear stand on the war in Iraq, and that alone is enough to disqualify her. Her failure to speak out on Terri Schiavo, not to mention that gross pandering on flag-burning, are just contemptible little dodges.
