It's the "Rappers" fault

I'm not sure why Bush supporters are so anti French. It would appear they have a lot in common with many of them. A few days ago I suggested that Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy sounds a lot like a sheriff from the deep south of the US in the 60's. Well today we have this, French MP blames riots on rappers

A French MP has publicly accused rappers of fuelling the country's recent riots with their songs.
It comes a day after 200 politicians backed his petition calling for legal action against seven rap musicians and bands it alleges have incited racism.

MP Francois Grosdidier told France-Info radio it was no surprise youths "saw red" after listening to violent lyrics.

Rapper Monsieur R, one of those singled out in the petition, rejected the idea, saying rap "is not a call to violence".

No, it couldn't be years of prejudice and neglect, it must be the "rappers". Americans certainly don't have a monopoly on an unwillingness to take responsibility and avoid the real issues.
