I put Middle Earth Journal in hiatus in May of 2008 and moved to Newshoggers.
I temporarily reopened Middle Earth Journal when Newshoggers shut it's doors but I was invited to Participate at The Moderate Voice so Middle Earth Journal is once again in hiatus.

Arrest them without DeLay

While I still refuse to believe that it could come true in such a completely Bush/GOP controlled state as Texes, it's still fun to dream, isn't it?
Grand Jury to Wrap Up DeLay Investigation

WASHINGTON - The Texas grand jury investigating House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's state political organization was completing its term Wednesday after demonstrating a recent interest in conspiracy charges that could bring more indictments.

Lawyers with knowledge of the case said the DeLay defense team was concerned that the Travis County grand jury might consider counts of conspiracy to violate the state election code.

Their concern was triggered when similar charges were handed down two weeks ago in an expanded indictment against two DeLay political associates. The associates were accused of conspiring to violate the state election code by using corporate donations for illegal purposes.

I particularly liked this headline from KOS: DeLay Sweating Bullets

Let's face it... the rumors have been bubbling to the surface for a few years now, and former associates all agree that "The Hammer" is far more than affectionate nickname. DeLay's private empire and apparent feeling that he is invulnerable and above the law have been displaying some serious cracks in the armor. Particularly after he engineered the gerrymandering of the entire state's electoral districts to cement a larger lead for the GOP in the house, seeing him hauled in to court on such charges would be fair sauce for the goose.

Update
It's done and he has been replaced as House Majority Leader.
