Carla at Preemptive Karma reminds us that wingnut Karen is not alone. As reported earlier, while Oregonians passed Measure 36 to ban gay marriage, Oregonians overwhelmingly
approve of civil unions. Karen Minnis will not allow a Senate Bill legalizing civil unions come to a vote and she is supported by the likes of Jeff Kruse (R-Roseburg);
"another step down the road to Armageddon"
And Charles Starr (R-Hillsboro);
...the development of same-sex families "is a vast untested experiment" that often leaves children without fathers.
He said homosexuality is not "an immutable characteristic" that justifies special rights for gays.
