Is the blackout of reporting on the Downing Street Memo finally about to end? A search for Downing Street Memo on TV news sites this morning produced the following:

• ABC.....Zero


• MSNBC....no site search available

A Goggle news search this morning for Downing Street Memo produces 413 hits most of which are foreign press and blogs. The big news this weekend was talking bobblehead Tim Russert bringing it up with Ken Mehlman on Meet the Press. Mehlman was taken back and simply said

Tim, that report has been discredited by everyone else who's looked at it since then.

To his credit Tiny Tim didn't let him get away with it.

I don't believe that the authenticity of this report has been discredited.

Mehlman continued on the discredited line but Russert wasn't buying it.

Since Russert is the last one not working for Fox that you would expect to spring this on a Republican it may represent a shift. Only time will tell.
