Bolton...not worth any political capital

We can all agree that John Bolton is about the worse candidate for UN ambassador the administration could have found. That said the simple fact that he was nominated means most of the damage is already done. The world knows they can't work with the guy and there is no reason to even listen to his rantings so I agree with Matt Davis at The Left Coaster and Richard Cranium at The All Spin Zone, don't waste a filibuster on the guy. If the Republicans are stupid enough to approve him let them go ahead. Richard Cranium sums up what Bolton as UN ambassador really means:

John Bolton is tarnished goods, and the world knows it. That means even if he is eventually confirmed, his impact in the U.N. will be minimal, and he won't be skulking around in the shadows someplace screwing things up. He's right out in the open.

He's got it right, the damage is done. Make the Republicans live with their vote.
