Pinellas Circuit Judge George Greer was expected to announce a decision by noon Saturday on the motion by Bob and Mary Schindler claiming their daughter said "AHHHHH" and "WAAAAAAA" when asked to repeat the phrase "I want to live."
The above is not credible for two reasons:
1. In spite of what a couple of doctors with questionable credentials might say the overwhelming medical evidence would indicate Terri Schiavo is not capable of thought or speech.
2. As someone who has known three people who have been victims of major strokes I believe that if Terri could speak after 15 years she would say let me die.
We have already seen how selfish politics has taken over this story. In the New York Times today we learn that the battle between Michael Schiavo and Terri's family, the Schindlers, is less about Terri than it is about money and power. Shame on you all but most of all on the likes of Tom DeLay who is trying to use it for cover.
