As one who went into immediate attack mode when learning of Alfred French's participation in the Swift Boat Liars ads, I am having some second thoughts. I am starting to see him as a victim of his own misplaced hate over the Vietnam war.
What Mr. French and others aren't willing to admit is that Kerry was right. He witnessed the Vietnam debacle first hand and came back to fight to save American lives not attack his fellows at arms. The Vietnam war was effectively lost in 1969 and the Johnson and Nixon administrations new it. They continued to send Americans there to die anyway. Mr. French, these are the men you should be angry with. Mr. French's misplaced anger resulted in he and others becoming pawns to an administration that is just as callous and evil as the Johnson and Nixon administrations. I'm sorry Mr. French, but your misplaced anger has made you a victim once again.
