If it is true that Ms. Broadwell was sending out abusive emails to people who had personal or professional contact with Gen. Petraeus, that is a bigger problem than an ordinary extra-marital affair.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, emails like that could cause trouble even if there were no affair at all. The emails raise the question of a psychiatric problem in whoever actually sent them. Those are deep waters for any CIA director.
It is, of course, possible that someone or some group set this up to get Petraeus out of his job. But I don't think there is evidence of that at the present time.
