Much Ado about Huma - update

I notice even much of the right wing is distancing itself from the Huma story Jazz discussed below. Patterico at Hot Air seems to think there isn't much to it. Now a well timed rumor can be just as effective if not more effective than the truth, just ask John McCain, which is why this is so puzzling - it's not well timed. This is the sort of rumor you start a few days before the election not months or a year. More questions than answers!
