I put Middle Earth Journal in hiatus in May of 2008 and moved to Newshoggers.
I temporarily reopened Middle Earth Journal when Newshoggers shut it's doors but I was invited to Participate at The Moderate Voice so Middle Earth Journal is once again in hiatus.

One in Four

If the Republicans are to survive the 2008 elections they have to start thinking about how long they can support a President with a 26% approval rate. The Republicans must really be looking at what they are going to do with Iraq in September. On Iraq 73% disapprove of how Bush is fighting the war. But It's not just Iraq - the American people don't seem to approve of anything Bush does.
  • Economy (34 percent approve, 60 percent disapprove)
  • Health care (28 percent approve, 61 percent disapprove)
  • Immigration (23 percent approve, 63 percent disapprove)
  • Terrorism and homeland security (43 percent approve, 50 percent disapprove)
The terrorism and homeland security numbers should really concern the Republicans as they have seen that as one of their strengths.

Update
Sully thinks Bush got what he wished for - well not exactly.
I'd say. Bush asked to have his presidency judged on how he waged the war in Iraq. He has got his wish.
