The latest Pew Research Center Poll shows George W. Bush at a new low, 29%. The biggest drop came from Republicans with less than 2/3ds supporting him. Also significant was that only 44% of the white evangelicals gave him positive ratings. The drop in support from the Republicans is a result of the immigration issue.
While people don't like George W. Bush they are not crazy about the people running to replace him either. On the Republican side Fred Thompson, who is not officially in the race, is tied with Giuliani for first. Things aren't much better on the Democratic side with non-candidate Al Gore a close third to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
