I put Middle Earth Journal in hiatus in May of 2008 and moved to Newshoggers.
I temporarily reopened Middle Earth Journal when Newshoggers shut it's doors but I was invited to Participate at The Moderate Voice so Middle Earth Journal is once again in hiatus.

Going around in circles

I have to assume that Americans are getting smarter. Apparently they have figured out if you turn enough corners you end up going around in a circle.
Poll: Zarqawi Death Has Little Impact
The death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has done little to improve views of how things are going for the U.S. in Iraq or boost President Bush's approval ratings, a CBS News poll finds.
So much for a Zarqawi bump. Only 16% of Americans think Zarqawi's death will reduce attacks on US Troops while 30% think they will increase. It looks like the learning curve has finally kicked in. In addition it didn't help Bush's approval rating with only 33% approving of Bush's job as president while 60% disapprove.
