Speaking of Shills - Same Job, Lower Pay

I'm sure you all know by now that Ron and I are both huge fans of Faux "News" and their "fair and unbiased" coverage of Washington politics. You really can't find better comedy on television short of watching reruns of Cheers or M*A*S*H. The "news" anchors at Faux have been working as front men for the Cheney administration for so long that it probably comes as no surprise that one of them is going to get the chance to make their defacto job into a real one.

Tony Snow likely to take White House Position

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sources close to the White House said Monday that Fox anchor

Tony Snow is likely to accept the job as White House press secretary, succeeding Scott McClellan.

The sources said they expect him to announce his decision within the next few days.

A source familiar with the discussions said Monday that newly appointed Chief of Staff Josh Bolten asked Snow to make a decision by early this week.

Snow serves as a political analyst for Fox News Channel, which he joined in 1996.

I think that tells you pretty much everything you need to know about Faux "News" in one sweet, compact headline. Fair and balanced? Sure. About as fair and balanced as Al Franken, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter and Babs Streisandt all rolled into one.
