I put Middle Earth Journal in hiatus in May of 2008 and moved to Newshoggers.
I temporarily reopened Middle Earth Journal when Newshoggers shut it's doors but I was invited to Participate at The Moderate Voice so Middle Earth Journal is once again in hiatus.

Hunter...No, Psychopath...Yes

My friend Jazz over at Running Scared thinks the Cheney hunting story is a non-starter and for the most part I agree. But it does bring to the fore front some disturbing traits of our VP. I don't have anything against hunting and in fact have been a bird hunter myself spending many hours in a cold soggy blind hopping to bag a duck. Dick Cheney is not a hunter. This is not hunting.
Monday's hunting trip to Pennsylvania by Vice President Dick Cheney in which he reportedly shot more than 70 stocked pheasants and an unknown number of mallard ducks at an exclusive private club places a spotlight on an increasingly popular and deplorable form of hunting, in which birds are pen-reared and released to be shot in large numbers by patrons. The ethics of these hunts are called into question by rank-and-file sportsmen, who hunt animals in their native habitat and do not shoot confined or pen-raised animals that cannot escape.
Dick Cheney is not a hunter he is a killer. Perhaps the most important thing to come out of the Texas shooting incident was that Cheney did not have the appropriate stamps.
Texas officials said on Monday night that Mr. Cheney would be issued a warning citation for hunting without a proper game stamp on his license.
Dick Cheney places himself above the law. Anyone who hunts knows there are required stamps and it is their responsibility to determine which ones are required.

It's these personality traits that make the Vice President of the United States one of the most dangerous men in the country and the world. He exhibits a complete disrespect for life and the law. Dick Cheney is evil and dangerous; a psychopathic Lord of Darkness. Yes, It's All About Cheney.
