I give up...on the Democratic lawmakers

The ineptitude shown at the Alito hearings were just the latest example of a miserable performance by the "opposition" party over the last five years. I have an attack on Biden over at Running Scared. As Soto points out the horrible performance of the Democrats all but eliminated any justification for a filibuster. It has been the same with the war in Iraq, the bankruptcy bill, the list goes on. It is indeed time to clean house, the Democratic house that is. I see no hope for the Democratic party with the current crop of incompetents in charge. It's not even so much a matter of ideology although I am often in disagreement with the philosophy of those in charge. The primary difference between the Democratic lawmakers and the Republicans is that the Republicans are competent political hacks and the Democrats are incompetent hacks. This country is in grave danger as much as a result of the Democrats inability to be an opposition party as that of the Bush administration and it's cultists in charge of the government. We need to throw the bums out but not just the Republican Bums.
