Rotten to the core on both sides of the pond

I guess this shouldn't come as any surprise but apparently the government of Tony The Lap Dog Blair is just as rotten as the master Bush administration. For the Blair government the documents of the former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, are very damaging so it is little wonder they have made every attempt to suppress them. Well, they are now available here and yes the British have been as deep into torture as their American masters. I'm not going to do a lot of copy and paste here, go to the source, but the opening paragraph of memo #2 is worth a quote.

As seen from Tashkent, US policy is not much focussed on democracy or freedom. It is about oil, gas and hegemony. In Uzbekistan the US pursues those ends through supporting a ruthless dictatorship. We must not close our eyes to uncomfortable truth.

Yes folks, that pretty well sums up our government under The Lord Of Darkness, Dick Cheney.
