Tropical depression 27 (which will be named Hurricane Gamma if/when it strengthens sufficiently) yas formed in the Carribean. Here's a picture of its location and current predicted track. At the moment, assuming it stays on a steady course, it will head into Central America like the last couple, rather than taking out the rest of the Gulf coast. Still far too early to tell, though, and it could swing north and pay us a visit.
Hurricane season runs to the end of Novembe, so keep your fingers crossed. You don't want to have an unexpected "visit from gamma."
(Ok.. that was a horrible pun. Sorry.)
