This is disturbing!

I made my bi-monthly run to Costco this morning. Although I avoid the big ticket items, stuff I really don't need, it is a good place to stock up on food and household items. I like shopping at Costco; they are hated by the Wal-Mart type retailers because they pay their employees well and give them good benefits. In addition they support Democratic candidates. I frequently buy a bag of apples there. Today, the apples no longer came in a bag but this 1/4 pound plastic container.
Remember peak oil and oil shortages. There is more oil in this container than it took to ship the apples from New Zealand.
