Update
Over at The Left Coaster eriposte has some facts and conjecture in Treasongate: Lewis Libby and Judith Miller that's worth checking out.

As for the Miers' nomination, it seems the support is losing steam. Over at The Opinion Journal John Fund has withdrawn his initial support.
But the evidence of Ms. Miers's views on jurisprudence resemble a beach on which someone has walked without leaving any footprints: no court opinions, no law review articles, and no internal memos that President Bush is going to share with the Senate.Too loyal for the Supreme Court?
But it was Richard Land , president of the Southern Baptist Convention, who went so far as to paint Ms. Miers as virtually a tool of the man who has been her client for the past decade. "In Texas, we have two important values, courage and loyalty," he told a conference call of conservative leaders last Thursday. "If Harriet Miers didn't rule the way George W. Bush thought she would, he would see that as an act of betrayal and so would she." That is an argument in her favor. It sounds more like a blood oath than a dignified nomination process aimed at finding the most qualified individual possible .Not even the conservatives like the idea of having a totally loyal chimpy cultist on the Supreme Court.
