I'll be out most of the day, my mother is having day surgery. It's unclear if I'm going to miss much. We may not hear about the indictments until tomorrow. The current rumors seem to be centered on Rove again. As much as I would like to see turd blossom behind bars I don't see him as the important figure here but just a trained attack dog. The real "evil doers" here are Cheney and his associates.
In the post I referred you to last night by Jane Hamsher over at firedoglake she suggests that Scowcroft's commentary in The New Yorker may be an attempt to save the Bush family name by fingering the other guys. There may be some truth to this. The Bush family has been compared by some to the Adams family. While neither John Adams or his son John Quincy had memorable presidency I think this comparison is still very unfair to the Adams. John Adams played a very important roll as ambassador to England in the lead up to and during the revolutionary war and contributed to the founding documents of this country. John Quincy Adams also made many contributions before and after his term as president. George W. Bush has contributed nothing towards the betterment of this country or the world and in fact it can be said he has contributed nothing period during his life. Although George H.W. Bush served his country in many capacities I think positive contributions are few.
I'm sure that Jazz will have the latest breaking news over at Running Scared and Steve Soto and the rest of the crew at The LeftCoaster are always a good source.
