A dozen reasons why the Democrats must take back the Oregon House

We have discussed here and over at Running Scared how the Republicans took control of the national government from the bottom up not from the top down. Well even here in the blue state of Oregon the Republicans were able to hijack state government. In 2004 the Democrats managed to regain control of the Senate but the House remained in Republican hands. The Democratic Senate was able to pass 12 progressive bills, "the Undone Dozen", that never saw the light of day in the Republican House even though many of them would have passed. Karen Minnis and the Republican leadership would not allow a vote. It is essential that the Democrats regain control of the Oregon House in 2006.

In order to make this happen Kari Chisholm arranged and conference call with Jon Isaacs of Future Pac, Oregon House Democrats and about 20 Oregon bloggers. Jon outlined a plan where the House Democrats will be looking for input from Oregonians. As Jon said and as we saw last session "as goes the House so goes Oregon" and I don't know about you but I don't like the way Oregon has been going. Middle Earth Journal will be participating in this effort anyway we can. Future Pac will be sending out an email a week asking for suggestions and discussing key issues and strategy.
