When I first read the headline I thought things must be really getting hot in Crawford for Bush to escape to the mostly blue Pacific Northwest. Well he's not coming to Oregon or Washington but Idaho, one of only 10 states where he still has a positive approval rating.
BOISE, Idaho -- President Bush is coming to the Pacific Northwest next week, a White House spokeswoman confirmed during a press briefing in Crawford, Texas, where President Bush is vacationing at his ranch.
The visit to Idaho will be the president's first trip to that state. He'll spend next Monday evening and Tuesday vacationing in the lake and resort region near Donnelly and then speaking about the war against terrorism at the agricultural community of Nampa on Wednesday.
