Mark Felt aka Deep Throat

Jazz has a post over at Running Scared on the reaction on the right to Mark Felt. Of course they see him as evil incarnate for telling the truth about a crooked Republican President. The common complaint is that he should have gone to law enforcement not reporters with his information. This argument is really lame. Felt was law enforcement. He was also someone who knew his agency had been compromised and marginalized by a very political Attorney General. He did the right thing. It is similar to the situation we have today except there are no reporters in the corporate media who would be willing to listen to him.
