I put Middle Earth Journal in hiatus in May of 2008 and moved to Newshoggers.
I temporarily reopened Middle Earth Journal when Newshoggers shut it's doors but I was invited to Participate at The Moderate Voice so Middle Earth Journal is once again in hiatus.

Even CNN is making me ill today

If you haven't already stopped over at Running Scared today, there is yet another British memo in the news showing how Bush and Blair had agreed to invade Iraq as early as April of 2002. Outside of the London Times, I wasn't expecting to see it mentioned anywhere in the American MSM (as usual) until we beat them to death with it. That's why I suppose I should be pleased that CNN picked up the story at all. However, with all of that information in there giving ever more details of exactly how badly Bush lied, leading to the deaths of so many people, what is the lede that CNN focused on?

Report: British had doubts on U.S. postwar plan in Iraq

Yes, the memos indicate that the Brits were concerned with Bush and Rumsfeld's apparent lack of planning for post invasion Iraq.
"A postwar occupation of Iraq could lead to a protracted and costly nation-building exercise," authorities of the briefing memo wrote, according to the Post. "As already made clear, the U.S. military plans are virtually silent on this point. Washington could look to us to share a disproportionate share of the burden."
But don't you think that the timeline revelations would get just a bit more damned press? Is CNN totally cowering down since the Newsweek dustup?
