Was it better way back then?

This is a question Dean Esmay is asking his readers who were born before 1940. He has a list of specific questions for them. At the time I posted this there were no comments but I will continue to check. He has a good point. On both the right and the left we tend to think that things are going downhill. A majority of Americans think the country is headed in the wrong direction. I think the only problem with Dean's questions is that they cover only the physical attributes. This may sound strange coming from an atheist, although I don't think it will sound strange to other atheists, but what about the spiritual atmosphere? I will have more on this latter and may even have some questions of my own. I want to thank Dean for bringing this up.
