British Intelligence Warned Blair of War
Those of us who regularly graze the blogosphere and the foreign press are already familiar with the contents of the notes taken by a British national security aide at a meeting Tony Blair had with the head of British foreign intelligence seven months before the invasion. We had long suspected that the war was a done deal but the leaked notes provided the proof. There is nothing new in the Walter Pincus article but it is new news to many Americans. The impact of this leak will be small since there will be no investigations from the Republican controlled legislature and a majority of the American people think Bush lied about the war anyway. I'm not going to copy and paste from the Pincus article since there is nothing new and it comes at least a week too late to deserve any serious consideration.
