On further reflection, I've decided that there shouldn't be a "Centrist Party." That's bullshit. There should be a "Progressive Party." And the marching orders should be simple - "Govern in the best interest of the governed."
Could it be more simple?

A Progressive Party
Over at Running Scared Jazz has a must read post on what he, as a former Republican, thinks a "progressive' is. I agree with him. You should read the entire post but I'll give you his concluding paragraph.
