I temporarily reopened Middle Earth Journal when Newshoggers shut it's doors but I was invited to Participate at The Moderate Voice so Middle Earth Journal is once again in hiatus.

More on the Quiet Revolution south of the border
You don't hear about it but it's happening. A quiet and sometimes not so quiet revolution in Central and South America. We have discussed about the potential for civil unrest or even revolution in Mexico because of the governments attempt to disqualify the popular Manuel López Obrador on a technicality in A Revolution just South of the border? and Unrest South of the Border. Now there is some not so quiet activity in Ecuador. After Ecuadorian President Lucia Gutierrez dissolved the Supreme Court there were massive demonstrations in that country. Now he has apparently been ousted by Ecuador's Congress. The All Spin Zone has the details. Free market capitolism multi-national corporation style has made the lives of a majority of the citizens south of the border worse rather than better as promomised. Make no doubt, that's what these rumblings are all about.
