The Lunatic Fringe of Christianity

Those insisting that the court ordered removal of Terri Schiavo's feeding tube is the equivalent of murder represent a lunatic fringe of not only the Republican Party but of Christianity itself.

Donald Sensing is a conservative Christian minister. In his blog, One Hand Clapping, he wrote a post on his thoughts on the Schiavo case and why the feeding tube should be removed. It is an excellent post and you should give it a read. He became the subject of a vicious attack from the lunatic fringe, some of which you will find in the comments section of the above linked post. The Republicans in congress thought they were pandering to the Religous Right on this issue. As the polls and the thoughts of Mr. Sensing indicate they were only pandering to the lunatic fringe. Also see the post below on the thoughts of another conservative Christian, Neal Boortz.
