George W. Bush is an immature man who has always gotten his way, screwed up everything he has been involved in and always had someone to bail him out. After four years as President he has screwed things up so badly that there isn't anyone who can bail him out. As we reported
here and
Steve Soto reported over at the Left Coaster the Republicans are not to enthused about his legacy when it comes to Social Security. In addition as he and the other imperialist neocons eye Iran they are not going to get a blank check for aggression this time around. Bush's "political capitol" line is looking more and more like that "mission accomplished" statement, empty. The reality is Bush was a lame duck the day after the election. Republican lawmakers are going to be looking out for their own hides and not Georgie Boys legacy.
So the question is, how will Bush react? How will the spoiled brats inevitable temper tantrums manifest themselves? I really don't know but I don't think it's going to be pretty.
UpdateTCF has a good observation in the comments section:
This is the great by-product of his management of Iraq - no one is going to tell him he's losing. The more we taunt him and the Right that they're losing on Social Security, the more they'll dig their own grave.
BTW, he has a great blog. If you have not been there before check out
ThatColoredFellasWeblog.
