But today should be more than a day when banks are closed and kids don't go to school and we just say a name.Well put Joe. It is time to remember the true legacy of Martin Luther King. It has largely been forgotten, not only by those who oppose what he stood for but by those who should support what he stood for.
Let's remember what he did.
Remember what he sought.
Remember the example he gave us.
Remember that bright, internal spark that shined through.
And remember that we have that, too -- and that perhaps on this day in 2005 we ought to rededicate ourselves to making sure that ours also shines through.

Martin Luther King Day
I'm not going to say much on this today. I had a post over at Running Scared last week discussing the excellent commentary by John Sugg which was picked up and added to by Natasha at Pacific Views. Today Joe Gandelman has a good post on the legacy of Dr. King. Head over there and check it out. He concludes with this:
