Why Bush Won

Jill over at Brilliant at Breakfast has a good analysis of why Kerry lost. Many if not most Kerry "supporters" were actually just Bush haters who had no enthusiasm for Kerry and quite frankly Kerry offered them little to get enthusiastic about. The 2004 campaign reminded me of the 1996 campaign of Bob Dole where he ran simply on "I'm not Clinton" and offered few ideas of what he would do differently. It didn't work for Dole in 96 and the "I'm not Bush" strategy didn't work for Kerry in 04.
