In the latest assault on anyone who argues in favor of civil rights or disagrees with Bushco, el Presidente' has now fired the head of the government's Civil Rights Commission, Mary Frances Berry. (No relation to the former mayor of DC that we know of.) This is a woman who was completely fearless and nonpartisan. She attacked every seated president from both parties, starting with Jimmy Carter, who first appointed her. Any time she saw situations where the government wasn't doing enough to protect civil rights, she came in like a pit bull and started tearing up trouser legs. Unfortunately for her, she included Jeb Bush in her attacks, back in 2001, for his juryrigging of the election in Florida. We all know what you get when you criticize Bush or his cronies, and Mary just found that out the hard way.
Predictably, some of the "less enlightened" are simply thrilled to see their hero get rid of such a troublemaker. "Hind Rocket" (not that there's anything wrong with that) is quick to jump on the bandwagon, actually calling Berry "biased and partisan." Some day we'll find out what planet Deacon and Hind Rocket live on, and hopefully we'll finally make good use of Bush's preemptive attack policy.
The Brother's Judd suggest that she should be led away in handcuffs. Of course, boys. We don't want any uppity wimminfolk raising a stink about them dere minority types, now does we?
