No, it's not a sandwich. The yet-to-be-indicted felon and traitor Bob Novak today decides to stick his rather large proboscis into the tired old "what's wrong with France" tirade. More specifically, he joins in the throng of right wingnut hawks who seek to endlessly criticize President Jacques Chirac for his failure to blindly follow George W. Bush in his invasion of Iraq.
He does manage to slip in one excellent example of current French attitudes, though, while recounting a conversation with the owner of a paper stand. On the question of whether or not the French hate Americans, the man responds, "Oh, we just love Americans. It's Bush we hate."
That seems to sum up the attitude of most of the planet and 49% of America rather nicely, don't you think?
But the key point I feel compelled to return to is as follows: why are people still paying attention to whatever blathering this man publishes in the papers and not demanding an answer as to why he ISN'T IN JAIL YET?!?! No, I'm not talking about whether or not he should reveal the source who told him Valerie Plames' name. Clearly he should, but a court will need to sort that out. I'm talking about the fact that he published her name in the first place. That's a felony, in case nobody else noticed.
