My question is this: where is the Libertarian Party today?I've been asking myself that very same question. Are they in denial that someone who calls himself a Republican could be more big government than a Senator from North East?
This is their year to make some big gains:
- Both major party candidates favor big government (despite some lip service to the contrary).
- Both favor taxes that are higher than the LP would like, to support the big government they created and perpetuate.
- At least one candidate is willing to engage in massive deficit spending.
- GWB and the Repugs like to tell you what to do with your body, and want to define what a family is.
- et cetera
So where are the Libertarians?
Why aren't they making some converts in the small government Republican camp?
It seems Bob Barr, of all people is asking a similar question. It would appear the Mr."I'm a uniter, not a divider" has even managed to divide his own party.
