Voting

Well I voted today. Here in Oregon everyone votes absentee, no polls on the second of November. Most Oregonians received their ballots the end of last week and they have to be at election headquarters by 8 PM on the 2nd. Mine will go out in the mail today. In addition to Presidential, Senatorial and congressional elections, as usual we have several ballot measures. The insurance companies have spent a great deal of money trying to get two of them passed. No on both of those, if the insurance companies want it passed it's probably not in my best interest. We have a "defense of marriage" ballot measure. Oregon is a pretty liberal state but there are homophobes even among the liberals, that one will be close. The phone is ringing non stop and I expect it will be heavy the next two weeks. It is really irritating after getting used to the "Do Not Call List".
