Iraqi fighters battled U.S. troops in a Baghdad slum district Tuesday, raising the death toll to 22 Iraqis and one U.S. soldier and threatening to wreck a cease-fire called by rebel Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr...........................When will it ever end? The end of the countdown to 1000 US deaths is near.
The death of the U.S. soldier in Sadr City pushed the official U.S. death toll for the Iraq war to 993.
I temporarily reopened Middle Earth Journal when Newshoggers shut it's doors but I was invited to Participate at The Moderate Voice so Middle Earth Journal is once again in hiatus.
