I put Middle Earth Journal in hiatus in May of 2008 and moved to Newshoggers.
I temporarily reopened Middle Earth Journal when Newshoggers shut it's doors but I was invited to Participate at The Moderate Voice so Middle Earth Journal is once again in hiatus.

Kerry can't be a leader, he wants facts and a little time to think about them

Only Adam Nagourney and Jodi Wilgoren of the NYT could make being :
a meticulous, deliberative decision maker, always demanding more information, calling around for advice, reading another document....
sound like a negative.

Their article in the Times today is typical of the moronic reportage we have come to expect from these two. They make demanding facts and looking for second opinions sound like something that makes Kerry unfit to lead the country. And this comparison with Bush is classic:
Unlike Mr. Bush, who was a governor and a business executive before he ran for president, Mr. Kerry - who has spent the past 20 years as a legislator, with a staff of perhaps 60 - has little experience in managing any kind of large operation.
Give me a f*cking break. All evidence points to the fact that dubya was a miserable failure as a business executive who's adventures in capitalism required bailing out by daddies rich friends. The governor of Texas is the weakest governor in the country doing nothing but deciding who dies in the Texas electric chair.
