Bogus Polls, self fulfilling prophecies?

Steve Soto at The Left Coaster has more on bogus polls, this time the CBS/NYT poll. Once again the democrats are under weighted in the sample that gave Bush a 50-42 lead.

Total Respondents: 1287

Weighted GOP: 426 (34%)
Weighted Dem: 399 (31%)
Weighted Ind: 462 (36%)

Of course the problem is these polls are shown and discussed on the Cable Tabloid Networks as fact. The risk is Kerry supporters will simply give up and so the polls become self fulfilling prophecies. Yet another way to subvert Democracy in the U.S.
