the majority of us simply have a need to put our words out there for others to read. and someone else's pay check, success or failure, profit or loss, fame or fortune in this silly game has nothing to do with it.I started this blog for the same reason people do diaries, to put my mindstream down on virtual paper. I must admit I check sitemeter and feel good when I get 50 hits a day. I am especially curious about the person from Sweden that checks in once or twice a day. I am thrilled when someone adds MEJ to their blogroll. I'm not without ego.
we blog because we want to. when we stop wanting to, that's when it's time to quit.
But, as skippy says I spend time posting on this blog because I want to, because I get something out of it. If people actually read it that's a fringe benefit not the reason. If Bilmon wasn't getting anything out of blogging anymore it was time he quit. He was not the first and won't be the last.
